WALKING WATER

I woke up early around 6:00 right when the sun had come up. Grace arrived at about 6:50 and thats when we started walking. We walked up Olive down to the rose garden. The grass was cold and wet and our feet got so dirty. We started thinking about how people in places like Africa don't have shoes. When we passed the rose garden we arrived at Rocky Nook Park late and very cold. We filled up our water jugs then started walking up the steep winding road. It warmed up after a few minutes and it became hot and sweaty. I walked with Grace, Brian, and Bradley. After 30 minutes we began to complain and wondered when we would be at school. Sweat dripped down all our faces there was not a great smell in the air and there was blood dripping down my foot from a piece of glass that I had stepped on. We got to A.P.S and Graces bottle started leaking so we finally got a drink of water form the water spilling out. We stopped for a break in the shade under a giant tree that I began to love. I could hear sighs of relief when we sat down. Every step we took everyones neck and back became soar and we were almost at school but couldn't take the heat for much longer. Once we got to school we were so excited to wash our feet with our remaining water. Grace and I decided to take a few minutes to scrape of the dirt in the girls bathroom. Grace and I had so much fun but where glad the heat and pain was over.

Great job. I loved how you really showed what you had troubles with and that you had fun even though it can be very painful and sometimes make you real soar

It was nice how you had a picture of yourself waking and how you described how you felt walking.

I really, really like how in sertain parts you added a lot of detail and that made it even better. My favorite parts are when you described about sweat dripping down our faces and how you added how my bottle got a leak and the detail about how you stepping on glass was a really good extra detail. i think that my favorite part was Grace and I had so much fun but where glad the heat and pain was over. All and all I really like your blog!

Well done, Gretchen. I like your mention of people in distant places. Good descriptions of details along the way and great choice of photos.
